Getting

Started

Our pediatric speech and occupational therapists work with children (early intervention through teens) who may need extra help communicating, learning, or mastering daily activities.

Services that we offer

The first step in your child’s therapy journey is scheduling an evaluation with one of our licensed therapists. This initial appointment allows us to better understand your child’s current strengths, areas of need, and developmental skills so we can create individualized goals and recommendations to best support their growth and success.

Contact us to learn how we can support your child’s unique strengths and needs.

What to

Expect at the First Visit

We are excited to welcome you and your child to our office! Our goal is to create a warm, supportive, and comfortable environment where your child can feel safe, engaged, and successful.

During your child’s first appointment, the therapist will spend time getting to know your child and learning more about your concerns, goals, strengths, and areas of need. Depending on the type of appointment, the visit may include parent discussion, observation, play-based activities, informal tasks, and/or standardized assessment measures.

We encourage parents or caregivers to actively participate in the visit by sharing helpful background information and asking questions throughout the process. Every child responds differently to a new environment, so appointments are designed to be flexible, supportive, and individualized to your child’s needs.

To help your child have a successful visit, we recommend:

  • Arriving a few minutes early

  • Bringing completed intake paperwork

  • Bringing any relevant reports or evaluations

  • Having your child wear comfortable clothing suitable for play and movement

We look forward to partnering with your family and supporting your child’s growth and success!
